The original receipt or packing slip is required for all exchanges. If exchanging an item in store, a valid photo ID is also required. Music Mart reserves the right to deny any return or exchange.

Exchange Period

  • 14 days for electronic equipment including DJ equipment and lighting, pro audio and home recording equipment
  • 30 days for all other products

Due to certain legal and health restrictions, certain items cannot be exchanged, including:

  • Labor, delivery and/or completed installation services
  • Microphones, earbuds, earplugs and other similar products
  • Harmonicas, wind and brass instruments
  • Consumable items such as batteries
  • Fog fluid or cleaning products
  • Etched or otherwise personalized items
  • Opened strings, reeds, or mouthpieces
  • Opened computer software, movies, or music
  • Items that are damaged or abused
  • Items that are missing accessories such as remote controls, cords and cables
  • Any special order items

Exchanges In Store

Avoid shipping charges and exchange you items more quickly by visiting our store.

  1. Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories
  2. Bring your receipt or packing slip and a valid photo ID. We accept these forms of identification:
  • US, Canadian or Mexican driver's license
  • US state-issued ID
  • Canadian province-issued ID
  • US military-issued ID
  • Passport

Exchanges By Mail

You can also exchange online purchases through the mail. To return your online purchase by mail:

  1. Pack your exchange in the original shipping package, if possible.
  2. Include the packing slip and return label, and indicate the reason for the exchange.
  3. Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories.
  4. Send your exchange to:

For proof of delivery, we recommend that you return items via UPS or insured USPS.

Cancellation Fee

A 25% cancellation fee will be charged for special order items over $400 that are exchanged.

Exchange Tracking

When you exchange an item in store, we require a valid photo ID. Some of the information from your ID may be stored in a secure database used to track exchanges. Based on exchange patterns, some customers will be warned that subsequent purchases will not be eligible for exchanges for 90 days. Customers who are warned or have been denied an exchange may request a copy of their Exchange Activity Report by sending a request letter to :

Please be prepared to provide your transaction ID, ID number, full name, address and phone number.

If you received a defective item and need to replace it with the same item, email shipping@musicmartonline.com or call 1-858-259-3940 to request a replacement. We recommend that you return such items to the store. If you prefer to return the item by mail, please email us for special instructions at shipping@musicmartonline.com or call us at 1-858-259-3940. We will cover all reasonable and customary ground shipping fees.

You can cancel open MusicMartOnline.com orders online via email, or phone.

NOTE: Items cannot be canceled online if they have already been processed for shipping, home delivery or store pickup.

If canceling an item means your order is no longer eligible for a promotion or a quantity discount, your order total will be recalculated. However, if an item from your order is canceled by us for any reason, the promotion or discount will remain in effect.

Changing the Shipping Address

Changing the Shipping Method

You can change your shipping method as long as your order has not begun the shipping process. For example, you can switch from Standard to Expedited shipping, or home delivery to store pickup. Call 1-858-259-3940 as soon as possible to ensure the item has not yet entered the shipping process.

Music Mart gladly accepts orders from all around the globe. Available product lines, shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the delivery address for your order.

We utilize UPS shipping services for our products. To see the shipping rate information specific to your order and your order's destination, please refer to the shipping calculator when you proceed to the check out.

Items from Yamaha can be shipped to all national regions, but cannot be shipped outside the United States.
Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility.
